The Serious Steel 8" Olympic Flanged (wide base) Adapter Sleeve converts 1" standard bars or weight posts to 2" Olympic bars or posts (single). Great for older style barbells, curl bars and plate loaded weight machines. The Flanged adapter sleeve has a wide base at the end of the sleeve. to stop the weights. 

Made from heavy duty and high quality plastic with a metal hex bolt. The metal hex fastener adds durability to help eliminate unwanted stripping of the bolt. Other adapter sleeves typically include a nylon nut that can strip easily, once over tightened by the slightest bit.
